New Orleans is a city of stories, but most of them aren’t the ones you’ve heard before. The world knows New Orleans as a place filled with sinners and endless parties, but the reality is that this city is filled with people living their day-to-day lives, trying to make ends meet, and in need of Christ. People here are full of personality. Spend any amount of time here and you’ll see just how beautiful the culture is. You’ll also see that Christ is at work here and that people are ready for the Gospel.

MissionLab has been loving the city in the name of Jesus since 2000. We’ve grown over the past decade into a year-round program for more than just youth groups. We serve groups of all sizes and ages, and we’ve recently expanded to include family groups with children. We’ve learned that anyone can be a missionary, and New Orleans is the perfect training ground.

Our team is invested in the city. We live here, go to church here, serve our neighbors and live out the Gospel in the city we love. This gives us a unique perspective on ministry in New Orleans, and we understand the needs of the community better than most camps which only operate for a season. Investing in relationships year-round is what makes MissionLab different, and you can trust that the work will continue even after you’ve left New Orleans.

At the end of the day, we’re about the Gospel of Jesus Christ changing the lives of real people. Nothing else matters much. In a city where the need is so evident, we can’t help but be moved to act. We see the Gospel at work and we see our city becoming stronger and more hopeful because of it. But the story doesn’t end here.
