Come Work For Us!
Spend an incredible summer working for us as a Summer Missionary!
As an SM, you will spend ten weeks living in the amazing city of New Orleans while sharing the love and truth of Jesus through service and discipleship. You’ll be an integral part of helping our summer program run smoothly while mentoring students each week from around the country, serving alongside groups at a variety of ministry sites, assisting youth pastors with logistics, helping behind the scenes with worship events, and tons more!
(Oh, and did we mention you get paid?!)
What is Missionlab?
MissionLab is a non-profit Christian missions organization based at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. We provide weeklong mission trips for groups coming to New Orleans.
During the summer, MissionLab is primarily a youth missions program (although we do have several college, adult, and family groups in attendance as well) where hundreds of students and chaperones come each week to learn missions, do missions, and be missionaries.
What does it mean to be a MissionLab SM?
Each summer we bring in a staff of college-age men and women from all over the country to serve in New Orleans alongside the permanent MissionLab staff.
The summer missionary is responsible for partnering with our groups as a helper and disciple-maker and serving alongside them at their assigned ministry sites around the city of New Orleans.
What are the benefits of being a Summer Missionary?
- You’ll get the opportunity to invest in the spiritual lives of the students that come to MissionLab each week and help them understand their call.
- You’ll get to live in and explore the wonderful city of New Orleans and invest in the work God is doing here.
- Free housing, free meals Sunday night through Friday lunch each week, as well as a stipend of $250 per week.

Testimonials
Here’s what some former summer missionaries had to say about their experience:

“MissionLab has definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone and has really opened me up to be comfortable sharing my story and faith.”
